Hounslow-on-the hill
Not in Brentford, but I was interested to see the story on proposals for the Hounslow Heath car boot sale site and changes in the management of Hounslow Heath as a whole :http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-news/local-hounslow-news/2009/08/13/high-hopes-for-hounslow-on-the-hill-109642-24443889/http://hillontheheath.com/I think I quite like the idea of the big hill (and appreciate the cunning way they are doing it without burying the important water main that would otherwise be underneath it !).I'm not quite so sure about the plans for the wider heath. Do I want it manicured in one go with additional hillocks, wider prepared paths and the loss of oak/hawthorn scrub to be replaced with neutral grassland for the cattle ?
