The favoured option of using the A4 end of the park adjoining Lionel Road North for housing developments is looking a little sick since developers are apparently having problems selling the flats they have already built. (http://www.brentfordtw8.com/default.asp?section=property&page=stats0908.htm)Brentford is becoming horrendously overcrowded with increased pressure on local infrastructure (GPs Dentists etc)and the very last thing we need is more yuppie flats. If the developments were affordable family houses with gardens, I might be persuaded - otherwise no way.London needs its green spaces. They are the lungs of the city. If keeping green space necessitates the crumbling of the listed buildings in the park, that is unfortunate, but it is a much better option than the encroachment of the concrete jungle.
