PHIL SAYS: "In my view it is horribly wide of the mark to reduce all that to the same level as Robin's crass and infantile yah-boo tribalism."Of course, you yourself are quite incapable of "crass and infantile yah-boo tribalism", aren't you Phil? Like when you accused Ann Keen of having "the morals of a jackal"; when you accused Vanessa Smith of "moral depravity"; when you accused the Labour Party of being a "self-serving, incestuous mob"; when you accused Lib Dem member Conal Stewart of being a "repulsive arse"; ex-Labour councillor David Hughes of being "demented" and "seriously quite mad"; and the Keens of "deceit, cynicism and mocking contempt". What on earth do all of these poor people have to do, Phil, in order to earn the kind of glittering commendation that you recently gave to your old mucker Nick Griffin, to the effect that he is "interesting to speak to" and is a "very clever, witty and articulate man"?PHIL SAYS: "Yes, Robin has said that the ICG is a conservative group (at other times he has claimed that we are a fascist group)."The ICG is a Conservative group; that's why you formed a coalition with the Tories on Hounslow Council. And that's why you voted to axe the community teachers and why four of your five councillors voted to axe funding to Hounslow Language Service. I have never said the ICG is a "fascist group" - no organisation that has Jon Hardy as a councillor could be, in my view. But it has a lot of dodgy supporters and allies and its own history is also a major problem. The fact that its founder, the late Tom Reader, was a fierce critic of the Anti Nazi League (plus the fact that he campaigned for NF member Alan Mineham as a committee member of NITA) are major problems. Things are not helped by the fact that you, yourself, continue to be a scathing critic of the anti fascist organisation "Searchlight".PHIL SAYS: "He (Robin) has accused several of his own party's supporters on this forum and on W4 of being Tories simply because they fail to offer Ann Keen their unconditional and unquestioning support."Examples, please?PHIL SAYS: "he accuses people he has never met and doesn't know of racism with such gay abandon that he wilfully trivialises a very real social evil"I merely quote back at poeple the things that they themselves say. You have quite happily allied himself with people who have expressed the most extreme racist views on those occasions when it has suited you.PHIL SAYS: "He is not in my view a person who cares too much about whether something he says actually has any truth in it or not, just so long as there is a chance that somebody somewhere will believe it."This coming from the guy who continually lies by saying that I post on forums under the name of "JonJo Hobbs" and "James Dee" and who further lied by stating that I am a spokesperson for Ann Keen and that I urged her to ignore residents on the issue of Mogden. Further more, accusations of lying carry little credibility coming from an organisation (the ICG) which was accused by Tory councillor Barbara Reid of "lying, distorting facts and taking undeserved credit" and by Tory councillor Peter Carey of distributing literature that is "malicious, mischievous and total rubbish."And by the way, if I really don't care that what I say has any truth in it, then how come I have stated that I disagree with the accuracy of remarks that some of your opponents have made about the alleged race of the police officer you were convicted of assaulting?PHIL SAYS (to Stephanie): "Your views on community are tantalisingly close to my own and I suspect there is little difference in spirit between the work you are doing and the work we are doing."Stephanie, my advice is to talk to some of the ICG's political opponents about the work they are doing. One of them had pizzas delivered at all hours and mini cabs which had not been ordered, a car vandalised many times and even a shot gun pellet through the window. Another Labour candidate suffered a firebomb attack - although the ICG have since inferred that the Labour Party themselves did this. Maybe the ICG do some good things - who knows - but trouble has a habit of following them rather like flies to a cowpat. My belief is that, whatever the ICG's merits, there is something about it which is endemically flawed - and will be so long as it has a former long term active member of the National Front as its most prominent member.
