Appalling plans for Gunnersbury Park

I have only this weekend become fully informed on the appalling plans for Gunnersbury Park , which apparently involve the destruction of more than 400 trees and the removal of the pitch and putt course . So much for the Conservative commitment to the evironment and local amenities. Apparently Hounslow council have described the pitch and putt course as ' detrimental' - what a disgraceful way to described a popular local amenity. I urge all Brentford residents concerned about this threat to attend the meeting at St Mary's Church South Ealing on September 21st , and to bombard their local councillors with their concerns.
