Local Housing rates

The Local Housing Rates have been lowered.A friend off mine moved into his Studio flat last October and claimed the Rate at the time £875 now has been told that since November 1st the rate is £150 less his landlord has told him he has to pay the extra £150 a month or get out.The guy is on Jobseekers and cant afford to pay this so it looks as he will have to get out.Didn't they realize by lowering the Rates that alot off people will be affected when we are already in a financial state and not many properties out there.

Your friend was having his housing costs paid by the Local Authority and they have now lowered what they're prepared to fund?I'd suggest he should contact Shelter ASAP. Or get a job.
