Another fine mess
You couldn't make it up! I wanted to renew my library books online this Saturday - only to find the PIN would not work, O.K. I thought I'll ring them - no luck there, 'phone just rang and rang. Tried Hounslow Treaty Centre - no answer there either. I also e-mailed as requested to confirm the PIN - you guessed it - no reply. So today having received an e-mail telling me my books were overdue (yes - I know that)I went to find the temporary library that the website says will be in Redlees car park during refurbishment. I enquired in the Leisure Centre only to be told that the library is closed and that the temporary caravan that should be there - isn't. Not only that but umpteen people before me had been in trying to find the elusive libarary! Quite how you are supposed to return books I am at a loss to know, I can only tell the library service, which I hold very dear, I won't be paying the fines. So much for John Laings, what a shambles.
