Water supply

Our water supply has disapppeared in the last half an hour, seems likely the ongoing leak at junction with Mogden Lane has finally gone yet again - great. They must have dug this up more times than I can count in the last few years and still it leaks periodically, will Thames Water finally do it properly this time? According to Thames it could take until 9 tonight, or it could be done relatively quickly.

I was told there were no local works the first time I 'phoned, the second time after I'd checked with my neighbour to see if her water supply had gone too - I was told about the Twickenham Road by another operator! Seems there are also problems at Busch Corner too. There always seems to be a leak at the Mogden junction, perhaps it should be turned into an ornamental pond with a few ducks and save a lot of time????

I think they tell us what they think we want to hear and when I came down Twickenham Rd this afternoon it looked to me as though the works involved the traffic lights at the junction of Mogden Lane though perhaps it was to do with the water supply.The guy I spoke to assured me that he could not locate any works in the area so I expect he was just trying to fob me off or his system had not been updated.

Well I can only report what I was told, that it is Twickenham Road where the problem is, my neighbour tells me she saw them digging the road up again at the junction with Mogden Lane, so you pays your money you takes your choice I guess. But what they seem to agreee on is that it will either be very quick - unlikely as the water is still off, or will take quite a few hours.

VanessaI have just rang Thames Water before reading your post and they told me that they were checking water valves in the Twickenham area so that would possibly affect us here in IsleworthThey told me it could be back in five minutes or up to six hours!!
