Body Found in New England Pub

Appeal to identify body found in Brentford's New England pub6:50am Tuesday 2nd February 2010Print Email Share Comments(0) By Ian Mason » Police are today still trying to discover the identity of a person found hanged in a derelict pub. A police spokesman said it had been impossible to tell if the body - found in Brentford's boarded up New England pub, in York Road, last Tuesday - was a man or woman because it was quite badly decomposed. He said“every effort was being made to identify the person and added that the death was not being treated as suspicious. Before the underpass at Brook Lane North went in the coal cellars in York Road used to flood after heavy rain. After that construction the cellars were fine, just the underpass flooding occasionally. Wonder what the underground parking structure will cause? There is a reason it was called Brook Lane..

Hi Tony,The Pub has planning permission to be converted into apartments with underground parking.  The Alfa Laval Site has full planning permisson for 2 hotels, houses, apartments, landscaped shared areas to include an art gallery and roof alloments and also underground car parking.  Fran

I just read about this; it seems the body could have been there for 6 months or something?I am interested in buying one of the houses for sale in York Rd- what's the area like?  Can anyone share plans (if any) for doing something nice with the pub or that massive building right next to it? Thanks
