Following Ann Keen's clandestine meeting with Thames Water and her consequent approval of Mogden expansion, the Tories swiftly turned their backs on local residents and supported the absentee MP by voting approval. Andrew Dakers and Vince Cable together with ALL local ICG Cllrs recognise the devastating environmental impact this will have on residents of both Hounslow and Richmond residents. They are thus launching a massive campaign and petition to be submitted to the Thames Water Board and the Chief Executive of OFWAT calling for the covering of the  storm tanks.  Hounslow's Tory Leadership and the Tory Candidate for MP have refused to listen to the concerns of residents and, more importantly, have  refused to acknowledge that the High Court of Justice will be ruling on Mogden after a  6 week trial against Thames Water which starts at the end of February.  Only the Lib Dem candidate and the ICG are prepared to respect the law of the land.  Labour and Tory put party politics before the people they purport to serve  "PETITION CALLING FOR ALL THE MOGDEN STORM WATER TANKS TO BE COVERED To: The Chief Executives of Thames Water and OFWAT, We the undersigned object to the continued stench from Mogden Sewage works that blights our lives.  We call upon Thames Water – as Cllr Andrew Dakers and Vincent Cable MP urged in September 2009 – to cover an additional three storm tanks by the end of March 2010 and, if the odour has not reduced substantially during the summer, the final three by the end of 2010.
