Prezzo Brentford

Sad to see that Prezzo in Brentford has closed down.

Myself and my friend Anne went their for (a long) lunch yesterday.  It is really a real Italian restaurant run by Italians.  The chefs and waiters and waitresses were lovely and attentive.  The owner is lovely!  We were outside and it turned chilly and he insisted on taking off his jacket and putting it around my shoulders. The food was fresh and beautifully presented.  I will definetly become a regular!Fran

Had a great lunch there today with an old friend. Must say were headed for The Weir but it was closed for 'works' and so we went to Brentford Dock and the new Siracusa. We had  excellent seafood pasta, some freshly baked bread and good wine. The staff delightful, and sitting outside in the sun a bonus.

I went last night too for take away. Just the same as Prezzo I would say but that's not a bad thing.

The menu posted up is really helpful, thanks.I will definitely check this place out as Italian food is my absolute weakness, however I do still remain loyal to La Rosetta's.

Went there last night. There are three distinct changes from the old Prezzo.First, this is now definitely Italian - with Italian front of house staff and kitchen staff. Including the necessary Italian shouting. Excellent.Second, this now smells like an Italian restaurant. They are clearly cooking the food on the premises rather than the Prezzo heating up pre-packaged food approach. It suddenly feels like a proper restaurant.Third, the food. Really, really good. Huge chunks of fresh mozzerella on the pizza. We were so happy.No surprise it was busier than Prezzo ever was.

I believe it is changing hands and brand and will still be an Italian restaurant, but an independent one.If it announces its opening do tell us all.

I walked by this morning & there is a sign up saying "opening soon" - the name of the place began with a P & I think ended in an A but couldn't see it properly & it was very early!

My suspicion is the long overdue improvements to Brentford - such as south of high street and commerce road - meant the level of trade they achieved was less than planned. Shame - where will I get my pizza now?
