New Labour insults voters' intelligence again
I'm not sure whether you guys have seen it in Brentford yet but the glossy leaflet/grotty card (depending upon how their central office rates their chances in your ward) with which New Labour is launching its local campaign includes a promise to put no less than 100 uniformed police officers onto the streets of Hounslow and cut your Council Tax.This is especially impressive when one considers that the local authority doesn't actually employ police officers, nor pay for their provision from its budget.I guess it's going to be one of those campaigns again.
