New Kwik Fit is it a rip off?

Last week I had a flat tyre - thought I would try out the new Kwik Fit to get it repaired.......Like a fool and not knowing much about cars I listened to their advice the tyre was 'unrepairable' and in addition I needed new brakes all round.Funny that no warning lights ever came on Last time I went to a different Kwik Fit I 'needed' a full set of tyres all round. Read what you like into this but I am NEVER going there again but will stick to my local garage where I know I am not ripped off and many a time have had free advice and help ....beware

I always use Iverson Tyres in Power Road, just off Chiswick roundabout. They are excellent and always try to repair first. They don't try to sell you the most expensive ones either.

Maybe I'm incorrect but this seems a slightly 'strange' post to me, the cynic in me suggests that you're posting on behalf of a local garage/service business which is threatened by the 'new' Kwik Fit (where is it exactly ?).You haven't actually explained how it suddenly dawned on you that you'd been ripped off, which is basically what you are insinuating.I'm not defending Kwik Fit as such, I do try to avoid such establishments myself although I do know something about cars and whenever I've been to Kwik Fit they haven't ripped me off, but just seems a slightly odd post to me.
