Brenda, lets leave it at that then.I have met Ann, in her role as our MP, as you may well know.  She kindly came out and walked over our pavements to see the vandalism.  I met a lot of people around the same time and I am pleased and grateful that a whole lot of time and effort was used on the subject but the results were very poor - nobody had the influence to crack the 'cannot do this' response from the pavement engineers and the ways of working within their department.Cllr Andrew Dakers after his visit and armed with the working knowledge of similar damage in Brentford footpaths also held meetings within, which my husband went along to.I had pavement engineers out too - full of promises NONE of which were actioned.  Many photos were posted on here.I notice that the list of top earners at the Civic centre are mostly men.  When looking for replacements we need some common sense from and in the top and at least part of the salary should be allocated to a value for money factor to be won at the end of the year not accepted as salary. When dealing with the street engineers I was left feeling much like a silly woman taking her car into the garage knowing I was about to be fleeced.  It is not a pleasant experience and leaves you feeling vulnerable.  I bet most people give up with them.I totally object to feeling the same about politics which should involve people and not be set up to fleece us and make us feel stupid.  As you are opening up politics and we are understanding more about what goes on, it is not us being left looking stupid, however much you might like us to believe it. We trusted our politicians to do their job in representing us first - Mogden, Heathrow, Education and Immigration are complete failures of representation to the people of this country and us stupid people can only watch on.IMHO (based on some experience) of course.  :-)
