LOL! The New Messiah speaks...

Here is an absolutely hilarious remark made by ex-Councillor Andrews (from the front page article):- “Our approach to the new councillors and to the new administration will be determined by their own attitude. If they genuinely want to work with our(sic) community in an engaged and mutually respectful way we’ll be happy to make the introductions and assist them in the process." (Good grief!). “However should they choose to treat our(sic) residents and their organisations like conquered serfs they will find in us a formidable adversary.”Even by the usual standards, this is a truly jaw-dropping concoction of bitterness and conceit.When he uses the terms "our community" and "our residents", he doesn't seem to grasp the fact that these are the very people who have rejected him. How on earth, therefore, can he talk about "introducing" the three victorious Labour councillors to the very community they have just won the backing of?Unless someone can succeed in extracting the ICG from their own posteriors, I fear that unintentionally hilarious statements like the one above are going to become commonplace over the next four years and beyond.

I fear Rob, that whatever the new Labour Councillors do will never meet with the approval of the ICG, so that will just give them the excuse that they 'have' to seek election again in 4 years to save 'the community'. Clearly all this 'engagement' and 'empowerment' ain't all it's cracked up to be. People elect Councillors to do things on their behalf - they do not expect to have to do them themselves. This is all as daft as the Tory election rubbish about people running schools and appointing senior Police Officers, after being at work all day I can't imagine many people haivng the energy, let alone the enthusiasm, to dash out and start work again. You elect politicians with a mandate to run things for you, God alone knows they get paid enough to do it. Consulting on the big issues is one thing DIY is quite another.

Whilst I disagree with Vanessa, she has at least helped to emphasise the essential difference between our two schools of thought.  Most of the residents' groups I have come into contact with do not wish to be run, infiltrated and dominated by self-styled political "experts".  They want guidance, sometimes help, but seldom orders.We have fought four elections on this question.  Three, held under normal conditions, we have won.  One, held under the exceptional conditions created by a general election being held on the same day, we have lost.The local election in 2014 will almost certainly be held under normal conditions.In spite of this we will not be pushed or provoked into adopting an adversarial position towards the new councillors until we hear of this desire for a continued state of animosity from the horses' mouths.  Neither Vanessa nor Robin have seats to lose, it is quite easy when all is said and done for them to issue taunts and challenges from a position of safety.

As a Borough resident - I am under the impression that the groups involved with the Estate have worked really well together resolving many of the issues which dragged the estate and Boroughs resources down.Ivybridge is surely an area that you should be happy about, Robyn, instead of stirring from afar.

Indeed Sarah.  And there are a lot of other areas of work in which good things seem to be getting done around these parts in spite of Robin's best efforts.  For instance I believe the new councillors are taking on some of the issues surrounding Tesco on London Road, already with some success. It would appear Robin is doomed to spend the next four years fuming from the sidelines and issuing pronouncements and unheeded instructions about who should be doing what in Isleworth from the sanctuary of his Southall bunker.

RobinAs i said Before Paul Fisher Met with The Chair off the URA on Regaler times to help and support him in his position.Its a shame the Chair off the URA as become a Puppet to a Political Group that controlled NITA when it was the Resident Association.The problem with Ivybridge and Resident Associations it never works because Political Groups get involved and control it and it goes wrong also the Association will work with the Councilors but not the MP (or vice versa)The Chair off the URA has become a laughing stock, Robin don't forget that when he was a member off the ICG and supporting Mary McLeod your party and Ann were "Racists"  (which is a word he loves after calling Mary, the ICG, Certain Residents linked with NITA also)now he is a Labour supporter!!Yes the Labour Councilors are helping me with the Tesco issues that the ICG Councilors were fantastic in helping me before and started the Ball rolling with certain areas, Jon and Caroline have helped so much so credit where Credit is due, but the day after the elections i contacted the New Labour Councilors for Syon and they were very happy to help.

Sorry, Sarah, but I don't see how I'm "stirring from afar" just because I think the ICG and other politicians should stop interfering in the affairs of an estate that none of them live on.You should try talking to the URA's democratically-elected Chair about this (as I have done) and you will discover what he has had to put up with.

Well, Simon, you have certainly changed your tune about Al-Ayobi. Not long ago, you were telling me he is like a "father figure" to you. You have also informed me about the way that Phil's cronies have been continually trying to undermine him.You know, Simon, back in the 1980s I helped tenants of three tower blocks in South Norwood to start a tenants association: I then had no further input into the organisation, because I took the view that political parties should not attempt to control what ought to be non-political residents' groups.However, the ICG have always had a different approach: from the 1980s, when Phil was in the National Front (during which time he set up the "Independent Ivybridge Tenants Association" from his comfortable middle class home in nearby Chestnut Grove) to his founding of IvyTag in 2002 and his attempts to Chair the URA meeting last year, the ICG have always been about one thing: control.

Robin the liar Taylor cannot stop can he?Will you care to explain how the Chair of the URA has been undermined by the ICG or will you just crawl under your rock again when challenged?For the record just in case anyone is interested I use to meet the Chair fortnightly when I was a councillor and then visited various residents on the estate with him to help with any casework that had been passed to himI was always under the impression that he enjoyed these meetings which he himself requested and I was more then happy to help the estate in anyway I could so was quite happy to oblige and never had any problems with the man.Since your lot got to him it has since emerged that he and a fellow Bridgelink committee member were calling anyone outside their circle a racist though this did not of course stop them shaking my hand and extending pleasantries both during the election itself and also at the count and both wishing me all the best for the future.Speaking of the election count Robin I was extremely surprised to see one of the Isleworth Labour Candidates having such a jovial and obviously very friendly chat with a BNP candidate (old friends perhaps?) at the Civic Centre but I expect you will deny this happened.I have also made an official complaint to the Borough Solicitor regarding the antics of some of your comrades who seemed to believe that harassing residents on their way in to the polling station and stuffing leaflets in their hands was within the rules and also pinning posters up in the Bridgelink itself.The Presiding Officer acknowledged this was happening but was too weak to stop it and I understand the police had to intervene hence my complaint.

I very much doubt if anything Paul Fisher says is true.He has, after all, proved himself to be a consummate liar.This is a bloke who accused me of stirring up racial tension simply because I took a phone call from Al-Ayobi (during which the issue of race relations was not even mentioned).For a so-called public representative (who pocketed £25,000 a year of council taxpayers' money) to so casually issue libellous and inflammatory attacks on a member of the public, is a disgrace.Thankfully, the good people of Isleworth have seen through him, and he has now been sent packing.

Yes i do Robin as he Lied to me (on many Occasions) and i had enough. When i spoke to him about The St Georges Day event on Ivybridge (that as Chair off the URA was involved in) that Labour were there giving out Leaflets and that someone were telling Ethnic Residents not to go to the Event as it is being run by the BNP and that Phil, Andrews and Paul were members off the BNP he told me he knew nothing about it and didn't see anyone giving Leaflets out which was supposed to be a Residents Event not political. I did my OWN investigation and asked many residents over there about this and each time i was Told that Al was there Helping with giving Leaflets out and then to my Shock he was the one saying the stuff about the BNP scaring people, then he sends out his own leaflets telling people not to Vote ICG as they are going to sell off all Housing stock (which was a lie) to scare people, firstly he Knows i am against that sort off stuff and i thought he was too after he told me he was getting Nasty Phone calls (which he accused Hounslow Homes off being behind) so he became something i dislike and he had the Nerve to accuse others off doing the same over the years.The trouble with Al is if you don't contact him back or you don't meet up with him you are "Racist".Yes i said Phil should off helped him and supported him like he Promised the Night he was elected as Chair and Phil knows exactly what i said about him as i told him Face to Face which he will back me up on, But Robin Al was supported by the ICG because Paul was meeting him regular, as to People not working with Al we can say the same about your own Party and a certain individual who stood in 2006 for Labour councilor whop is the Treasure off the URA.Also where was Ann when he became Chair off the URA why wasn't she supporting him? Urrrmmm let me see it was because he wouldn't work with her after i told him he has to as she is the MP and what ever you think off her you need to work with her like you have to work with the Councilors and also the Only Time she got in touch with him was when campaigning started they used him and he allowed it.I am NOT going to sit here over the years and Criticize people for things they have done over on Ivybridge that i disagree with and then not say anything about Al when he does it.Yes he was like a father to me and yes i thought the world off him but he lied to me on many occasions and he became what i dislike and thought against for years over on that Estate which he fought against too so he is a Hypocrite and this has upset me alot.

I lived there many years ago and there was very little trouble, if any, that I can remember. It only goes to show that the old adage about giving a dog a bad name is true, there are far more undesirable places to live than Ivybridge. There is hardly any area in any large urban community that doesn't have some less popular parts. Ivybridge has become a community that is able to make decisions and get things done themselves without anyone patronising them or treating them differently from anyone else.

And Labour did it with NITA.I have spoken to Al more times than you Robin over the Years and Believe me he has NEVER said the ICG was interfering, he went to them for Help on issues as they were the Councilors for Ivybridge.A Resident Association should be NON political but they should work with the Local Councilors and Local MP what ever the party they belong too.Al was always against NITA and the URA in the early days because it was full off Labour supporters and he was against the party and the members off that group so how can you say he is saying the ICG interfered???Do you think Al is right to go around Calling Hounslow Homes, Mary McLeod,Keen and Labour (before he got into bed with them)the ICG and several Residents Racists because they didn't share his Views or they decided to work with the Ex NITA people then stay with IVYTAG?

Hi Vanessa.  Ivybridge was a no go area unless you were forced to go there to live when we first came to this area and lived in Worple Gardens.  The advice was not to venture after dark to see friends for many years, and friends used to say leave before dusk."Ivybridge has become a community that is able to make decisions and get things done themselves without anyone patronising them or treating them differently from anyone else."  The people that allowed the organising of this are the ones who put in a great deal of hard work with good intentions, which you and I are in agreement, have paid off.  What is there to take issue with?

Yes Robin, Paul is telling the Truth you forget i was very close to Al and he reported everything to me and showed me all Documents etc and Paul did meet with Him every fortnight and he did help Al to help Residents so that much is true.As to the Racial Comment i cant comment on that but can i ask you something please?You seem to be against someone for Allegedly calling you a Racist which is totally right but you stick up for a Man who goes around calling people Racists is it 1 rule for him and another 4 someone else?Did u know Al went to a Surgery that Andrew Dakers had and told me "What a lovely man i really would like to work with him" hence the meeting i set up between them i don't think he knows who to work with he just jumps on the Popular Bandwagon you wait till he starts Calling the New Labour Councilors every 5mins i hope they call him back and Meet him when he wants them because he will call them names he forgets Councilors and MP's are busy and have other people they work for aswell.

I've known Paul Fisher as a fellow Councillor since 2006. He is a man of high principles who worked tirelesly for LBH residents.He was, as others have stated, an excellent member of the LBH Executive who materialy helped me effect change. He was always most approachable. I attended a number of Community events with him with his charming wife and saw how locals trusted him.Others now seek to tarnish his exemplary record whilst holding  public office.Ann Keen and her 'hidden' cohorts should now leave this site and stop spinning their continued deceit.Like Ann no danger of a face to face meeting. Alistair Campbell  would be proud of them all.  I can't wait to read his no- holds barred  diaries and read the real truth about this discredited Party.

Their comments initiated my cause to postRegardsJohn"  OK John I've given it some thought,you are correct,I thought that as you alluded to Robin then in the interests of balance I should allude to David.   Both are "characters"both are rabidly political,both are completely blind to others opinions,in short they are as bad as each other.  So come on chaps give it a break,people with different politics to yourselves aren't sub human,they just have different views....that *is* allowed.
