Roadworks

Does anyone know when the council are likely to actually complete the roadworks around the Bell & Staines Roads, and Steve Biko way in the Hounslow area? Apparently these were supposed to be 'improvements'? Although what they were 'improving' is beyond me, again these just seem a complete waste of money. And what is most annoying is the fact they've just been left in a mess for months. I suppose this was more TfL money up for grabs and some brain at the council decided to grab their share for some reason that is not clear, and then to waste it?

It just gets worse, today contractors are re-surfacing Bell Road, which as far as I could see had absolutely nothing wrong with it. Is this again part of this planned maintenance tripe that has nothing to do with the actual condition of the road surface, but will get done anyway just because it's on a list? When I think of all the grief trying to get parts of Whitton Dene re-surfaced after the snow I could scream, what numpties dream these things up? When will common sense prevail, the damned roadworks in that area still aren't finished so they start even more that quite honestly appear ot be a complete waste of time & money.!
