Free Swimming for the over 60's
As many of you will now it is the intention of government to cancel the subsidy provided to councils for free swimming for the over 60's from next month. Given the benifits for health and fitness, I am sad that this may happen and feel we can do something about it to try and get Hounslow Council to continue the subsidy in some form to allow continuation of this facility. In this respect I have spoken with Councillor Pritam Grewal, responable for Leaisure and |Health to see if there is anything he could do. He has a meeting with the Director on Monday morning the 28 June and if you could support the idea to continue this facility for the over 60's then please drop him an email in support.
