Hi Vanessa,Sorry about the delay in repsponding-Sunday Lunch called. Many thanks for pointing out my error. Taxpayer's like we, rely solely upon our Politicians in the hope that they can clench a good deal with Developers to benefit our community-hence Section 106 "Agreements", agreements should mean agreements, but too often these Section 106 promises can be misused by the same politicians who are then able to play political football in the hope of a quick vote. In other words what one developer promises to put into effect in one area can be used by the Council for another area-without asking the community. What should happen is for the Council to adhere to the contract made with the developer or at least consult with the community of whom this money was first promised to.In addition if Section 106 monies are not spent within a given period, does'nt the funding go into the Council's Bank Acount anyway??This funding SHOULD go to where it has been promised not to where it is politically advantageous, perhaps David Cameron should look into the legistlation of Section 106 and amend the bill so that it can only be utalized as promised and will thus benefit the whole community.
