Shame so little will actually got to Helping the Heroes. That's not Robbie's fault for sure, but he could like many other artists make a stand.Bruce Springsteen will not entertain any organisers who charge booking fees on top of the ticket price and take a slice of the ticket face value.Several other artists also refuse to do business with promoters and venues who fleece the punters in their names. This is a charity gig and yet only those who donate, the artist himself and a very small percentage of the ticket cost will ever reach the charity. The organisers of many 'charity events always have overheads and expenses which more often or not leave a very small surplus.Often it's that little old lady putting 50p in a box that gives a significantly higher proportion to a charity. It took Bob Geldof to bully and cajole organisers to waive or reduce fees and costs for Live Aid.Sadly despite efforts by some artists and fund raisers, it has not been so easy to get the same. It would be great to see no fees on card payments, no need for a donation but 80 -90% of the ticket face value going to really Helping the Futures of our brave wounded. Or donate direct to the Help for Heroes charity. Sure it is better than nothing at all,
