Car parking at the Brentford Festival on Sunday

I'm not an official spokesman, but wish to forewarn everyone thatparking in the area will be a challenge!Stallholders will be able to access the Park before the Event startsto erect their stalls.Those with stalls in the Main Field will then have to move their vehicles to the GSK car park ..accessed in Boston Manor Road (under the viaduct).  Those involved need to pre-register vehicle numbers etc ..as they have already been instructed.Those with Stalls in the area around the Cafe and House etc..will be directed to park their vehicles under the Motorway..as last year.No other vehicles will be allowed in the Park..except Blue Badge Holders (disabled).It'll be great Event. Please use public transport where possible.More to follow.

You're absolutely right Tim...via the canal towpath is a good way to approach the Park..having parked where you said.Here is an extract of a note I sent to some colleagues:"There are 4 pedestrian entrances to the Park.  Three are in Boston Manor Road. The 4th one is via the Canal towpath..accessed from the Great West Road canal bridge...alongside GSK..and you may wish to park around PC World..or on that or nearby Estates..or in Transport Avenue!"  "You may be lucky and use the car park at the Brentford Lodge (NHS) opposite the Station"Slap me on the back if you see me!  Look forward to meeting you there.

If you really had to make it by car, I wonder if it is feasible to park at PCWorld or in the ?Cable and Wireless car park south of the A4 and then approach the park on foot - along the canal towpath and over that very useful bridge that connects to the back park entrance ?
