Robb Johnson - playing O'Briens Nov 13th

I saw this guy play at Stripes a few years ago & he was fantastic.He has recorded a whole album of songs about Brentford & the surrounding area - 'Friday night in Brentford' which was on sale for Bees United.Just heard that he is playing at O'Briens on Sat Nov 13th - well worth a visit for this I think!

Yes - just to confirm - it's the Phil Martin/Sean Millar gig at St Paul's tonight and Robb tomorrow at O'Briens - both gigs will be great and a real treat for lovers of original acoustic music!

The music at the Brewery Tap last night was so pleasant and easy on the ear..that at one point I closed my eyes and felt I could have been in the American Bar at The Savoy.Everyone there appreciated the treat.Next event Tuesday to hear the trad..then look forward to O'briens.Swinging Brentford indeed!

Time to go to the Tap for a tap...always like the sound of the piano!..with a singer even.When leafleting in Brentford before Election time, there were letterboxes one visited where the sound of the piano could be heard as one walked up the pathway. The russian chap in The Ride comes to mind..and there's a pianist in Ealing Road.  Now let's nip to the heart of Brentford. See you there?

Robb Johnson is great - saw him at the Stripes a few years ago - my husband Phil was on the same bill - also both on the same bill at the 100 club when Phil played with Swill from the Men They Couldn't Hang -Robb's gig is the day after Phil's gig at St Paul's Fri 12th with Sean Millar - top singer songwriter from Ireland, only UK gig on his tour of Europe and Scandinavia - I'm so glad there's so much top quality live music happening in Brentford again! We'll be along to see Robb at O'Briens. Thanks again for the kind words!

Thanks for the tip off and recommendation.With that great Helen Martin music Event at St Pauls Church (yes booze and food was available!) the other evening..and with the Jazz/blues at the Brewery Tap this Sunday...Brentford seems to be tapping and swinging it's way through the recession..and goodo!
