Morrisons-Sharper than they might seem
It is prudent to take a rather close look at items in Morrisons and a few other large stores at the moment. They are getting rather crafty at hiking prices without most of us noticing.Bread rolls were 5 for £1 and have been for a while and that is still a highish price, They are now 4 for a £1 which is in fact a price increase of over 20%Last week they had Baileys for under £10. The small printoffer details said it expired on 12/11/10 and yet by Saturday, same stock was marked as Only £13.This is just a couple of a dozen or so examples we noticed in Morrisons, Brentford this week. Also be careful of offer items with extra contents at the regular price being hidden away from the regular item.Pick up the regular item and you will pay more.Accidental signage inconsistencies have become very regular at Morrisons of late, too many to be a coincidence. We noticed this and have taken a close look and have now taken to photographing the offer tickets as it is often now the only proof that one was not imagining the date of expiry!Another example (also being used by Boots and Tescos is to maintain the price but reduce the contents. This is also applying to brand names so keep a lookout 400g is 350g for the same price or more for example.Be careful, times are getting tight and all sorts of methods will be tried to squeeze more money out of you and I
