Rubbish collection over Christmas and New year

Hounslow used to go nuts when people left their rubbish out too early - one of the great posters that used to be on the noticeboard outside Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre and which we in Ealing were very jealous of.  I hope the bags are not on the street.  If you were in Acton other residents would move them back onto your property.  Why should everybody else suffer because you have not thought about what to do with your waste?  Your rubbish - your responsibility!

Seen this morning - some absolute plonker has put out around eight black plastic sacks for collection. The collection was yesterday! We can now look forward to having the road scattered in leftovers and old wrapping paper for the next week - Doh!

It's not just the bank hol itself - when did refuse ever get collected on schedule during the whole week following a bank holiday?! Yet idiots around here put out quite a few sacks last night - full of xmas food waste - despite our collection moving from Wed to Thu. Oh well, at least the foxes and cats seems to have enjoyed it.

We saw people putting black sacks out on Boxing Day! Say what you like about the collection schedule but what sort of moron does that? When did refuse ever get collected on a Bank Holiday? Sometimes people do not help themselves or the rest of us. By the by ours seems to be going as per what was on the collection card.

I can't find a phone number with a recorded message advising about rubbish collections this week - and the main web page is no help.  The streets will be strewn if people don't have a clear message.  :-(

Seems more sensible to me than the rota over the last couple of years when they just decided to miss out one round for a fortnight !

What a job in this weather! Getting to the Depot at 6am, outdoors for some 6 hours..perhaps in sideroads more clogged up with cars than usual..having to sort mixed up recycling for residents green boxes..and risking injury using the pavements..and kerbs.My local team are hardcore Hungarians by and large..charming too..but they bypass me as I take all mine to Morrisons on Tuesdays when the various recycling bins are emptyish.No rubbish therefore strewn outside myplace for the foxes!

Does anyone know if the weather will stop those trucks from getting through, tomorrow?  I can see the 'nitwits' placing all their bags out on the pavement just because it is Monday...
