Does anybody in BRENTFORD have a soundproofed (with drum kit) garage/shed/room/attic?I am looking for a LOCAL (Brentford) space for my teenage son and his friends to practice. Perhaps you are in a band or teach drumming lessons and have a space you could hire out on weekends or after school hours to this group of young musicians? Am willing to pay a reasonable hire fee.

Ah the Brentford Gallery... thanks for jogging the memory. It's on little Johnstons Island..close to the Brewery Tap pub.Just been to their interesting website. Fascinating. Didn't know they hired out "space" I went to one of their craft open days..was it last year?Who would have thought that there were buildings in Brentford like this. There's one made with oars too!

Hi Lydia,Thanks, but the Gallery isn't soundproofed, nor does it have a drum kit or storage space for such and there is no hope on ever contacting the owner of that place-she doesn't turn up!!(have tried). It would be perfect with soundproofing and new management.

The Brentford gallery also has space to hire. Used to hear the sound of drums coming from over there sometimes so think somebody must use it to practice!http://www.brentfordgallery.co.uk/

HughThanks, this is awesome!! Not quite the answer to my question but awesome.Wonder what my neighbour will think about two drumkits in my attic. She doesn't want band practice. Wonder if she would like a drum battle!;-)
Thanks Philip, yes, have called Survival Studios and found their website. They also have a deal via facebook. Have told my son and his friends, so hope they follow up on it. Sounds like a fab place and will pass on your recommendation to him!
Wasn't that awsome? Thanks Hugh. That Acton place sounds hopeful for practicing.I must get the pots & pans out sometime...with a couple of wooden spoons & see what racket I can make!Hugh..we need a play area/ thread.. as you say the HTC thread was getting too long. What shall we call it? "Half Acre Fun Club" or something.

My sons band uses survival studios in Acton, they are reasonably priced, I believe a drum kit is in each practice room as is every thing else except instruments. I don't have the number but if you can't find it, I will ask my son tomorrow. If your son is serious its a better place to go.
