Cooked Mince?

I have a pack off mince with the use by date is todays date..if i fry it up how long can i store it after cooking it?

Simon - I really couldn't see any problems with that as long as it's been kept in the fridge. A lot of things actually improve with freezing, I freeze Dundee and other fruit cakes especially Christmas cake before the marzipan and icing go on, seems to mature them, also Lasagne freezes well and Shepherds Pie and Bubble and Squeak.

I have stook the spares in the fridge i was going to have some tomorrow for dinner will that be ok?

Well just wrap it in cling film and freeze - I often make two of something and freeze the spare. Just remember to let it defrost properly when you take it out.

I have already cooked it and made a cottage pie but the family cant make it for dinner now and its way to much for two off us to eat ourselfs.

You could still freeze it wihtout having to cook it.
