I don't think that it is a coincidence that inheritance tax relief is provided on owning woodlands. Another asset for bankers to buy with their bonuses?

Can't argue with that Neil - when I think of the many wonderful holidays that my family has had in the New Forest over three generations this stupid idea gets my blood boiling. Is nothing sacred anymore?

If it were not for the forestry commission and the foresight of generations gone, we would have lost most of our remaining forests decades ago.This is as risky and idea as selling off utilities like water. Apart from making a fast buck there cannot be anyone of any ideology who still thinks that was a good idea.
