there is a locl timber yard at the Ham brentford called Fraser's was called Albion Timber before; that is the road that runs behind the high street

You could try Seccombes on Syon Lane, we got some cheap off-cuts to repair our gate there a while back.

I don't think there's anything like cheap wood these days, it costs a bomb, but B&Q or Wickes would probably be your best bet. Not sure if Alsford's timber are still in Twickers, they might be worth a punt depending on how much you want.
