Brentford Baths Hamilton Road

Are they being redeveloped ?  I've heard that part of it has been sold into flats, would that be the house next door that the Stephens family used to live in. Are there plans to refurbish the baths too.

As part of the development there at the Old Baths, I've long been disappointed that the name plate has been reinstalled at the side of the front door.It's "Nowell Parr Cottage" please. We need to protect our heritage!

Re.vandalism..during the 50's whilst waiting to go into the baths we used to scrape our initals into the brickwork by the entrance.

The conversion into flats has been in progress, on and off, for about five years now - the first developer ran out of dosh, as I understand it. The current builders are doing a great job of refurbishing the exterior.  I just wish they'd chip away that horrible concrete some bright spark plastered all over the engraved 'Boys' and 'Girls' signs above the two entrances years ago.  The 'official vandalism' that went on in the 70s defies belief sometimes.

Yes the baths are being redeveloped - we have some lovely photographs on our website www.quilliam.co.uk of the flats as they are now and also on the Quilliam Property Services Facebook page of inside the original building.
