Garage wanted..Do you have one to rent out?

Not sure whether I need it for storage or for a car..but the wider the garage the better.If you can help ..please send a message to me...by clicking on my name above. Hopefully that (Forum) communication system works... but if you don't hear from me... post a note on this thread. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip off David about the Space Station storage place at Brentford Station. I have visited there and it's a very impressive but very expensive. Some 4x and 5x the cost of a good garage! (ie hundreds of pounds a month for a garage sized area)The old tram and trolleybus depot on the London Road, Isleworth that you mentioned, called Access Self Storage, is equally as expensive and I did use Access for commercial reasons for some 10 years and more.£50 to £70 per month seems to be a going rate. If clean and dry..a bright coat of paint around two walls and some patterned plywood flooring can transform such a space into a welcoming storage area.Leads still welcome.

I rent a garage from Hounslow council and I can confirm that they do charge more to private tenants than they do to Council ones, and it is more than the £14 per week stated. However they do not stipulate that the garages can only be used for storing cars.  In fact most of the garages in the block where I rent one are used for storing everything except cars.  The Council are very quick to chase the rents on these garages, but if it comes to problems with access due to illegal parking and blocking entrances, they just don't want to know, stating that you rent the garage but not a right of access to it.

I dont know of the cost but if Hounslow garages are for cars what about the storage units? i.e. at Brentford station or at the old Isleworth bus garage. Only a thought.

I was reading the Hounslow Homes website and noted that they had some 2500 rented out.They are available to non-Council tenants too..but there is,I believe, an insistence that they can only be used for storing cars...and not household storage.

Council are now charging a stonking £14 a week for garages only capable of  housing a small narrow car ie and Austin 1100 or nissan micra. Normal modern day saloons will only fit if you push them in!Can anyone confirm that council house tenants get the same garages for 50% less than other  borough residents?
