Hanwell Carnival
It’s Hanwell Carnival on June 18th (Elthorne Park) but there are events in the run up too. This Friday (10th) at William Hobbayne Centre at 7.30pm is a Fashion Mash up. It's like a Fashion Swish. Bring along an item or two of clothing you don't wear any more and browse the rails to see what others have brought. Normally a swish is free, of course, but to make money for carnival charities there is a £2 entry fee (inc a glass of wine) and then there will be a small charge for clothes. More like a charity shop - but it should be a fun evening! And if you have ever fancied being in the record books? On Sunday June 12th you can! The Carnival organizers are planning to put Hanwell on the world map by getting into the Guinness Book Of Records TM …… by gathering together people wearing their dressing gowns! Where? St Mark’s School, Green Lane at 10 am. Entry is free – though you will have the chance to have an official photo taken. You can follow carnival and get more details at www.hanwellcarnival.co.uk and Facebook and Twitter
