West Middlesex to cut back on admin.
It might just be me - but I really couldn't understand the logic behind the announcement in the local paper that 40 admin jobs are to go at West Middx. and this will improve things? I agree the admin. is diabolical never mind "our administration processes aren't as good as they should be". They intend getting people to re-apply for their own jobs and will test people on "verbal reasoning, maths skills(??) and customer service". No mention of actually answering a 'phone and having the vaguest idea of what you are talking about I note. The clinical staff really are wonderful but the admin. has been a distinctly naff area, but how can less people improve things? I would have thought ensuring you employ the right people with the right skills in the first place might well have been useful, perhaps getting rid of some of the so-called managers who have allowed this situation to develop might be a better place to start?
