SHREDDED PAPER

Quilliam Property Services have lots of bagged shredded paper in the office. If anyone would like some, feel free to pop in and we will happily give you some. It may be useful for those of you with rabbits or those of you needing to package items.

If you want to use it for animal bedding you can run a magnet through it.  We use to do this with wood shavings for the horses to make sure there were no nails etc,

It can be put in composters too.

Hi Craig.  I don't think the paper will be suitable for animals then.I know when I had a large amount of shredded paper for recycling I had to ring the recycling people at the council to warn them and they said if there was too much for the lorry to take that they would pop back later to pick it up.To make the paper suitable for animals it would have to be checked before shredding and all metal removed.

Greetings - very relaxing doing the shredding, didn't you find?Can you guarantee that there are no paperclips or staples in amongst the paper?
