Recommendation/comments about Care agencies

Can you advise from experience as to the sorts of questions we should be asking care agencies when deciding on a care package for somebody?Do you have any recommendations or comments about a particular agency which we might find useful?  Please e-mail me directly if you don't wish to add anything to the forum.Thanks

Not a recommendation but have a look at a firm called Mears. They had or do have a carer called Marc and he was good and thought Mears was better than some firms. Trouble with these firms is that their staff are hard pushed by their management and the staff are paid rubbish.That is unless yo go to the expensive firms perhaps.

Found a couple of agencies with male carers and one with one available.  One agency says they are about to start recruiting men.Phew!

I found the CQC reports for local agencies.  Big problem at the moment is lack of male carers!  First agency I called has no male carers at all, next one has one ...
