Attention Isleworth - Lennie hasn't been home.

If you live around the Twickenham Road back down to the St. Margarets area would you please keep a look out for a long haired black cat, he's not big and has a pathetic cry, he's been gone since Monday. We know he roams the Cole Park allotment area frequently and is a master hunter, and a scruffy devil, he is chipped and has a blue collar and an I.D. capsule on that. Any sightings would reassure us he's O.K.

Update: Wounds healing nicely, daily bathing still going on and three more days of antibiotics, perhaps then we can look forward to getting up as normal without the loud miaowing rousing all of us before the alarm!

Yes, very familiar to those of us who number among cat staff members. We awoke to a Lennie chorus outside the bedroom this morning, as he can't go out until his wounds have been bathed and the antibiotics administered. So we had to do this early a.m. for his highness before he'd belt up. Glad to say he's looking better, but a bit beaten up.

So sorry to hear that, it is heartbreaking to lose a pet, I lost my last two boys within a year. I think the only thing you can do is console yourself that they had good, loving, long lives with you. Real sympathy for you and the puss Neil.

Sadly my cat has cancer. Not long left for her although she has lived longer than the vet thought she would.

Undercarriage removed as soon as he was old enough, wouldn't ever have an un-neutered moggie. I think most of the allotment people are used to pussies, Isleworth seems to be cat capital of the world. I think our Len needs to learn not to punch above his weight as he is quite a small puss, but obviously quite territorial.

Two things spring to mind,you haven't mentioned if he still has his undercarriage.  Hopefully not but could it be that he's doing battle with a disgruntled allotment owner?

Lennie is now suffering from a severe head wound plus the smaller one he got the other day, so off we sped to the Vet this morning at great expense - is it ever anything else? Received wisdom is he has been out fighting - yet again, so we are into a regime of bathing wounds and giving antibiotics daily, only just having finished a course two weeks ago for a bite on one of his legs. Apart from locking him in  - not an option as he'd go potty, has anyone got any remedies?

Perhaps Lennie's name should be slightly tweaked to Lemmie (i.e. named after the guy from Motorhead who's led a rather 'wild' life !).  Glad he's back :-)

I tell you I worry more over these cats than I ever did about my boys. That Lennie lives a lifestyle most inappropriate for a four year old! If he was a human he'd be spotted falling out of night clubs regularly. Thank you all for your concern.

I know a couple of people who have allotments on Cole Park.  I'll ask them to keep an eye open.
