Why are victims having to wait so long for Compensation after the Mayhem

This is grossly unfair shopkeepers looted, others burnt out both families and businesses and yet Insurance Companies are hanging back at helping them to return to normality. It is no good government promising so much when they are not insisting that the help needed is given a.s.a.p. complacency will only cause very very bad feeling, justifiably so.Much has been printed about how quickly courts have handed out "Justice" lets have the same urgency given to the victims all over the country, government as well as all Political Parties should insist that Insurers get moving, after all these people are still expected to pay their Council Tax & PAYE. Another thing you would have thought that families would have been given free accommodation considering that the majority of them had lost everything but what they stood up in.

Actually you have a very good point, the young woman who answered my call asked who I was insured with even though I phoned my insurers number. Insurance Companies are making a fortune out of us and we lose out, they are very good at making excuses of fraudulent claims for goodness sake, we never made a claim just kept paying our premium all to no avail.

The latest scam by insurance companies is that most enquiries to insurance companies are recorded on a database called the Claims and Underwriting Exchange(CUE). So even if you 'phone an insurer, not necessarily the one you may be with now, on an enquiry and do not even claim, this could lead to you not being paid even if you make a valid claim some years down the line with another company. It turns out that most insurance companies check CUE only when a claim is made NOT when a policy application is received. If you have made any enquiries with any company for any reason, this will show up on your record and these conning b******s can cancel your policy for "non disclosure of material facts". This could even lead to you being blacklisted and having to pay ever more exorbitant premiums to get insured. The O.F.T. are on the trail and the government is going to stop motor insurers from selling on your accident details to to claims lawyers from next year, and about bloody time too. Is there anything to choose between these tossers and the banks? Answers please on the head of a pin!!

The more I read about these latter day Dick Turpins the more I hate them. 'Admiral' actually have a share in a company that makes referrals to the ambulance chasing - no win, no fee shower of solicitors, they get a pay off for everyone they refer to them, so these despicable, greedy people feed the very culture they have the unadulterated gall to complain about that they claim forces up their premiums. They truly are the lowest of the low.

Makes you sick doesn't it? Well, why not just increase the premiums of the numpties that choose to pursue these frivolous claims? I can't see any reason why the rest of us have to pick up the tab. I don't believe for one minute that insurance companies lose money on car insurance - if that really was the case they wouldn't bother with it, add bloody liars to the thieving gits.

Back to the original post regarding the tardiness of insurance companies. I received my car insurance renewal today. Now, bearing in mind I do low mileage, have maximum no claims, and no other problems I was furious to discover the premium has gone up over £50 - but here's the killer an added £10 'renewal fee'. What a bloody cheek! That you are expected to pay for the privilege of giving these thieves even more money. Needless to say I have been hitting the comparison sites. Bankers, insurance companies? - all ten times worse than the other criminals who rioted and looted the other week and how many of them have been in the dock for their criminal behaviour?

It is from the Princes trust, I just did not clarify, after all if he hadn't said then it would not have happened. The good works of the Royal family are not publicised, just as Her Majesty the Queen hands over 243 Million to our Treasury on a yearly basis is not publicised however the 2.4 Million that it cost for her to go around and about the World was, not fair.

No - The Prince's Trust is to give the money to projects in the the most affected areas, this is a charity that helps youngsters, the money is not not a donation.

We've already had a discussion about the thieving, lying insurance companies - really - what did anyone expect? Doesn't make it right - but I'm afraid it's all  too typical. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the government to shift their a***s, Dave's too busy watching the cricket and anyway he's off on yet another holiday............The one and only person who seems to have 'got it' is the Prince of Wales, who'd have thought it?
