Grarftons Factory Brook Road South

The answer is (I believe) Brentford Ait, which,although located closer to the Middlesex bank is actually in Surrey according to maps. It seems to be in two parts as well..with a divide that is  not clearly visible.Lot's Ait, the smaller island, is in Middlesex and in the Syon Ward of brentford.

Yep, Kelly's Directory for 1938 says it was the Crown and Royal Jersey Laundry...and enter that into Google and up come Celia Cotton history of the place on her Brentford High Street project website...and there's a 1933 picture too.

Wasn't Graftons a corregated box maker in those rambling buildings which in previous years had been a laundry.
