Who Do You Think You Are? comes to Chiswick - Sat 24 Sept

Just back from Australia Nick Barratt - genealogist on the first four series of the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? - will be entertaining the audience with tales from behind the scenes, telling more about the international phenomenon of tracing your family tree and taking your questions.Tickets are £15.95 and include a hot and cold buffet prepared by Redlees Trust's social enterprise, Reds Café. Drinks can be purchased at the bar. We're still selling tickets. We have some excellent cooks doing the hot buffet - authentic curry, a traditional Irish beef stew, an amazing chilli, lots of veggie options and homemade desserts all included in the ticket price. Drinks available at the bar.

Well Nick used to work at the PRO so he's the man to ask! He's very entertaining too.We need to find an Isleworth venue. The public hall was just too expensive, even at community rates. The CC was cheap as chips in comparison.

Noted Karen.  So the event is being held in Chiswick.(and not sunny Isleworth)Chiswick Catholic Centre2 Dukes AvenueChiswickW4 2AESaturday, September 24, 2011 from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM (GMT)It's a huge subject... my father spent 20 years compiling some 200 pages of data..compiled from records all over the country and 100's of days at the Kew Public Record Office (military records..shipping passenger lists etc etc)...and I don't know where to start sorting the data in some kind of related order. Maybe I should go along to learn how it's all done.
