Lot's Ait revisited... News: The boatyard being revived...

According to notes on a YOU TUBE entry:"The abandoned boatyard on Lot's Ait, between Brentford shore and Kew Gardens is to be restored to active use by John's Boat Works Ltd, a builder and restorer of traditional wooden boats."That bring back memories of an expedition around the little Ait opposite the Waterman's Art Centre some years back...when the remnants of some twenty two stolen bikes were discovered.But what a muddy place it is!

One of the buildings over the docks has been completely removed with the demolition of the others in progress.  Be great to see the island in use.Particularly high tide this afternoon!

Opposite the Waterman's Art Centre Keith... or topically, opposite that place selling CHEESEburgers (Mcdonalds!).Surprisingly, the Syon Ward extends from Busch Corner to The Butts, and the whole area south of Albany Road...including all "South of the High Street" up to the Watermans.There were some delightful sights during that expedition in August 2006 ..including this one!

A trip around the Island...located in Syon Ward, Brentford, Middlesex... whereas the Brentford Ait opposite Holland Gardens and the Musical Museum is located in Surrey!
