Mrs Clegg's new job at Dechert an American Lawyers & Lobbyist Firm @500Thousand Pounds a Year!!

Dechert have employed Nick Clegg's wife as Head of EU Trade and EU Government Affairs at a staggering Five Hundred Thousand Pounds a year, how can this be for most surely there will be a conflict of interest, he'll go home after a "hard" day and most surely discuss the days problems, she in all probability without thinking will mention this in her office Hey Bingo a very real conflict of interest and should really not be allowed because of course there will certainly at some stage be a conflict of interest. To late for apologies after the event!!!

I still maintain that for Nick Clegg it will be a conflict of interest!!! No wonder he insisted on 7 new aides for the offices in Whitehall!!

Sit home and knit and make jam?"No that wont be necessary,I just find it a bit ironic that she's going to be working for the company that got Lehmans of the hook in the US. Not to mention Decherts involvment in the Madoff Ponzi  case which cost investors $65 billion.It all seems a bit odd,but most things do (to me) these days. Perhaps I should learn to knit and make jam.

Samantha Cameron is not a Rothchild. Her father is not a banker. She is a successful businesswoman in her own right.The Cleggs have made a good career out of being "good Europeans". I have no doubt that Mrs Clegg is a brilliant lawyer and will do a very good job for her new employers. She is probably worth at least 500,000 pounds a year but may prefer to be paid in euro.I am sure that she  beenappointed on her own merits and that the fact that  her husband is Deputy Prime Minister for the time being has nothing to do with it.It will be interesting to see who Mrs Clegg will be working for after her husband  loses his job in the not so distant future. The two of themwill probably return to Brussels on the eurogravytrain.

Who would you prefer to see take over Nick Clegg's job as Deputy PM Dawn?  Vince Cable would be a good choice imho.

I was told that Cameron's wife is one of the Rothchilds! I'm not sure if this is true or how close she is the 'money/bank but it doesn't give me a lot of hope HE is going to 'sort out the banking sector'.

Of course not and if her husband was not the Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, I would say well done you however as her husband is working toward getting us completely in Europe, then there is most certainly a conflict of interest. If he wants her to have this very lucrative job then he should resign his position at once. You can't have your cake and eat it all the time.

It's fair to say Tony that there are questionable ethics going on here,wouldn't you say.But questionabble ethics are the bedrock of international capitalism,n'est pas?
