For the 17th Year running the European Court of Auditors have refused to sign off the EU Accounts!!!

Apparently the wonderful EU is so inefficient with our money that this last fiscal year 3.7% of the 101 Billion Annual Budget was "affected by error" in our language misappropriated, these errors represent approx a quarter of the money that we the UK people have to send to Brussels on a yearly basis:-Just a few gaffs:-Money was spent wrongly through the Common Agricultural Policy.2.5 Billion on Cohesion Funds apparently this covers spending on Energy & Transport.Another 96 Million wasted in erroneous spending on aid.107 Million spent on "Research"31 Million on Administrative errors.No wonder Europe is in such bad shape,I think that it has gotten way too big for it's boots.

It defies belief does it not, just how much has it cost for this 3 year investigation, I suppose now if you become dehydrated you'll be given a cake instead of water.Yet again we are being dictated to, it has to be stopped they come up with such bloody stupid new rules that we are supposed to adhere to without question and yet shun rules to suit themselves.Why I ask are we listening to this stupidity!!!

You have to adhere to regulations set out,they simply disregard these and spend spend spend without any questions asked. At the end of the day it is always us who end up paying the bill!

Surprised this one has not been widely promoted on TW8.From the Telegraph, "Brussels bureaucrats were ridiculed yesterday after banning drink manufacturers from claiming that water can prevent dehydration.EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.Producers of bottled water are now forbidden by law from making the claim and will face a two-year jail sentence if they defy the edict, which comes into force in the UK next month."You could only make it up.

Any company that fails to have its accounts certified by its auditors would have gone out of business or been wound up years ago. Why does the EU tolerate this scandal?
