Just noticed this advert on the Hounslow website:

I would direct Hounslow's attention to the car park off School Road down at the bus garage end. What a disgrace, kerbs at the exit upended, potholes and the exit road like a farm track. Not sure if this is prvately maintained or the council's responsibility - either way someone should inspect it and do something. And to think they have the cheek to charge for this!

Is 'income generation' legal? Aren't councils specifically not allowed in the legislation to use parking for this purpose?
