Masterchef - cry babies

I quite like Masterchef but can we please not have the competitors bursting into tears at the slightest thing. We had some prat last night crying over a plate of food that had been criticised, and that was a man! What is it with people these days that everyone weeps copiously at the daftest thing? Oh! and can we not be on "a journey" - Grrrrrrrrr!

Crying over a plate of food is pretty wimpish.I wonder how someone like that would cope in Afgahnistan ?

Mentioned this to 'im indoors and was accused of being "unemotional". Is it just me? I'm afraid I just can't get that worked up over a plate of food..........Me, who always sobs at the ending of E.T.!!!

Completely agree Paul - it's a much better show - especially the "master classes" where viewers can actually learn something..... although even the Aussie version isn't immune from those who are "desperate to learn (blub blub) because I have so much passion for food, it means everything to me and it has been an amazing journey (sob)"  etc etc etc ad nauseam!!!!

It is pathetic Vanessa. Just another sign of how our values and priorities are completely stuffed up in our bourgeous modern world. It completely racks me off too how every bloody programme has to have a 'celebrity' version.Just to get some fading has-been's vaguely remembered boat back on the box.
