When I worked at LBH I once heard a rumour from a colleague that the Tallow Road traffic lights were installed by mistake/accident - I've never looked into the history myself and doubt it, but recall the rumour.I think the pedestrian/cycle lights at the entrance to Syon Park on London Road need looking at - even though the green man phase only lasts for a normal period of time (15-20 secs) it usually takes around 60 seconds between the actual traffic lights turning from red to green. Recently this has been leading to westbound vehicles tailing back beyond the Commerce Road lights. I did wonder if this was deliberate to give elderly pedestrians longer to cross, as I wondered if there was a home or such like nearby, but given the green man cycle only lasts the normal period of time, the whole delay seems pointless. Also, the pedestrian lights outside Holland Gardens, virtually every weekend, go 'wrong', as though someone is constantly pressing the button to summon the lights and thus every minute they stop traffic even when there's no pedestrians anywhere near the lights. Again, I don't know if there's a fault with the lights that for some reason only happens at the weekend, or if some Brentford yobs are jamming the button with gum, glue etc.
