Too much money money and too many jobs involved Phil. All drugs are 'bad' for you to differing degrees.So is worrying about them too much.

Not arguing with you there Keith just pointing out the inconsistency of the drugs policy, the two biggest killers in the drug market aren't even included in the misuse of drugs act!

I'm sure if I stopped drinking,even the responsible amount that I do,I wouldn't live any longer.But it would be a long,slow death..The moral of the story? A little of what you fancy does you good.

On a serious note, I would love to know what is classified as 'alcohol related' anyway. I was at a recent sporting event where a referee dislocated his shoulder and admitted to having half a pint to the paramedics. I bet my life that it went down on the stats as alcohol related despite the alcohol having absolutely nothing to do with it. I could die tomorrow (touching copious amounts of wood) by being hit by a bus but as a smoker I suspect it would be recorded as a smoking related death.I don't believe a word of any of these things.

Not *caused* - they are described as "alcohol-related", and that definition is fairly broad, eg.
