What a man!

Reading an article about the gorgeous George Clooney today, not only is he just yummy to look at he impresses me with his common sense. Apparently rumours abound that the lovely George is gay, his reaction? He couldn't care less, he went on to say "I think it's funny, but the last thing you'll ever see me do is jump up and down saying 'These are lies. That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private and I'm very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a s***". He concluded by saying of his and Brad Pitt's support for gay marriage in the U.S. "Every time we've stood against equality we've been on the wrong side of history. It's the same kind of argument they made when they didn't want blacks in the military, or when they didn't want blacks to marry whites. One day the marriage fight will look archaic". Way to go George................

I admit it isn't as romantic as ' 'im indoors' and Georgie would never use it because he ain't got no wifey,hence the vacuous(sp?)speculation amongst navel gazing ever sooo up themselves star following berks in Hollywood.The Tree of Life was from the same school of up itself nonsense.

Did anyone go and see The Artist? Although winning everything in sight this year - is it another one of those films that only critics rave about that is really a pretentious load of old sphericals? By the way I'm sure the gorgeous one would NEVER use a phrase like "wifey", what are you thinking of?

'Confirmed batchelor' Georgie Clloney is in a film on film 4 in 5 mins.Better put down the phone girls,get out the knitting and the chocolates and settle yourselves down..;-)Wifey and I saw The Descendants the other day at Waterman's.A good story well told with some very realistic dialogue at times.The Woman in Black awaits tomorrow...

Amelia,Most murders are committed without guns being involved.If some twisted individual wishes to kill someone else,do you think the fact that they don't have a gun will stop them?If the tragedies at Dunblane or Hungerford had been committed by someone wading into people with a hockey stick,would you advocate banning hockey?Nearly all gun crime is from illegally held guns.Responsible ownership and use of a gun is not the issue in gun crime.As for are they for target practice,well yes,they are mostly.There is a clay pigeon shooting club between Northolt and Ruislip for instance.

Its people who kill people not guns??? I have heard this quote often and it never fails to amaze me. How exactly? by pointing their fingers and saying bang bang? guns do kill people what else are they for, target practice?
