Historic Van on London Road, Isleworth next to Rising Sun

Will the local council ever honour the joyous site that is the car inside the van ?http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wlIts opposite the Wood Lane junction with London Road, next door to the Rising Sun Pub.Will it get a blue plaque or some sort of listed protection ?The way things are going, if we don't speak up soon, we'll lose this part of our heritage for ever.

I think you will find its a 1930's Austim Limousine in the van. Very rare car and used by the government throughout the war.Saw it for sale about 4 years ago

I believe that the vehicles parked in front of the house are/were rented out to film companies.JL.

I know for a fact there is indeed a foldaway bike in the boot of the car, in the van.In the panier of the cycle there are a series of russian dolls, predictably.The van's sliding rear door is shut now, and has been for 6 months. I will knock on the door next time I am passing to satisfy my curiosity

If you scroll along London Rd then turn around at the back of the box van you will see a small car in the back of it.OI wonder if there is a scooter inside that?

This one?  The whole of this corner looks a dismal mess and the house where this van is always looks like it is a business rather than a family home.  There is another van in the back garden, but this is an old picture. :-(
