However, the papers can say what they like and we have to have those dreadful party political broadcasts - I may be missing something but what's the difference? If anyone out there in la-la land really thinks something on in a theatre in Brentford can influence the outcome of a London wide election then they're bonkers.

It's normal for political satire to be suspended in the run up to an election. Spitting Image was always off air before a general election. The BBC once cancelled a screening of 'I'm All Right Jack' on the same grounds!

Perhaps they should have 'done a Dave' and sold the tickets secretly? Personally I can't see what the problem is. God! What a precious lot these arty-farty people can be.

Not surprised that the event is cancelled and I wonder at it being booked in the first place.

Wonder why they booked the bloke in the first place.I can understand them not wanting to shoot themselves in the foot in case goldilocks wins and gets the hump and that affects funding as Waterman's is on the bones of it's arse.
