Demolition of garages Lateward Road and Brook Road South

Or in other words, we dont care we will do what we want. Which is interesting because in South Gloucester, Bristol Rovers want to build a new stadium, and the council are "collecting" views from all interested parties, and all will be considered

The worst thing is that none of the concerns in many of those objections were discussed or even presented to the councillors for consideration.What was presented to the councillors was an abomination of inaccurate details.Worst of all I gather that showed a projection which included a map of the site in which an electricity sub-station site was removed !A quick dip into the archives reveals the reason the site exists and has never been built on is due to the sub-station and the high and low voltage cables and feeds are right under the site, the original access was agreed prior to the later construction of flats in Lateward road in 1962 leaving the garage site as the actual service and emergency access.Quite unbelievable that this was not presented to the councillors by the planning officers and shows poor standards or worse.

Officers reports when I was involved in Planning Meetings often did not actually state the amount of objections received and if there was one say from the Isleworth Society for instance which represents hundreds of local residents this would be classified as just one objection

I think it's useful to see the information presented in that way, I guess the Council could have refused the FOI on the grounds that this is already published information?

Why was this information the subject of an FOI request ? - planning application files are public documents and the figures were almost certainly also available in the Officer's report to Committee.As for the 'conclusion', the number of objectors is not a material planning consideration, i.e. it has absolutely no relevance on the determination of the application.
