Reform of the House of Lords is not high up on the electorate's list of priorities. Sorting out the mess in the public finances left by Labour and getting the economy growing is.There is no consensus as to how the House of Lords should be reformed.I am inclined to favour an elected Senate of about 100 electd members with limited powers to review and refer back legislation to the House of Commons. Election should be by the tried and trusted first past the post system.
