As a Londoner would say...

'You gotta larf or yud cry..'I am referring to the road works outside Morrison's.I have driven past them now for what seems like weeks and there is never anyone working on them.What the **** is happening?

Well it's going to be PFId shortly, whether or not that will bring long lasting improvements remains to be seen.

Yes - you've gotta larf you've gotta cry. There have been car wrecking potholes circled with white chalk for over 6 weeks now but still no sign of anybody actually filling them.  The crime here is the waste of money by Hounslow.  Three years ago we told the Council that the road needed resurfacing but they refused  and decided instead to fill only a few of the deepest holes. The shoddy workmanship lasted only 8 months, then they had to be filled again. The repairs lasted some 9 months and then they had to be filled gain. And now.........gaping holes again. You couldn't make it up. Instead of joining the job properly they pay lip service to the problem. Hounslow's street management is indeed a disgrace. A department hell-bent on wasting taxpayers money.

There was a large white box in the road outside the Coach and Horses, near Syon Lane yesterday lunchtime. It too has been cleared away today.Well done TFL !

I noticed this morning that the pavement barriers heading eastbound have gone, so that side seems to be complete.All the westbound barriers were back 'upright' after their encounter with Phil's 267 ;-)

All the barriers had been knocked over into the road yesterday evening when I came through on the 267, causing lots of difficulties for westbound drivers.  Not for us though, our driver was well 'ard and he just drove over the lot of them.

Indeed, always see pedestrians walking down the cordoned off part of the pavement on the other side of the road to Fat Boys restaurant too.  The only thing that seems to be happening is the plethora of cones seem to keep slightly moving to make the actual road narrower !.I also noted over the weekend that the green filter light from Ealing Road turning left onto the High Street/Kew Bridge Road has been brought back into use - about six months after most of us on here pointed out how the junction was flawed without it !.Now I wish Richmond would review the junction of Sixth Cross Road and Staines Road near where I work - ever since the Council 'improved' the junction the queues in most directions have trebled !.
