Well said Satvir,Let them all make up their own rules so that when they stick to them and say it is ethical behaviour.Funny how if you are on hb you can't anymore use public money to live in an area you can't afford.Unless ,it would appear,you are an mp or ex mp. And the rest of us have to take a massive pensions hit except, of course, mp's who again have made their own rules for themselves.It would appear that in parliament's mind ethics is a large county to the north east of London.

And you really should learn how to read a sentence correctly before spouting off.'Your choice of political party' can no way be interpreted as 'the political party of which you are a member' and nowhere,btw was your name mentioned.How can it not be about intergrity or have your years as a 'politician' skewed your reasoning too?

You really must keep up Keith, neither John nor I are members of the Labour Party and haven't been for a number of years. This is nothing to do with integrity, it's about getting over yourself and letting go. And for Claire it's about learning lessons, so we can only hope that the local CLP has done so.

The swing against her at the election was only 6%. This was minor compared to other swings throughout the country.On this basis the Kean effect didn't seem to cost Labour the seat.

But has the Labour party learnt anything from the Keen fiasco?Whether she kept her promise to return to her privately owned house in her constituency (which let's face it was never going to happen) or reside in her Central London pad which was paid for by her constituents, is neither here nor there. I couldn't give a crap if she moved to Egham to be with her sister or back to Wales. The issue is whether or not the local Labour party can pull their heads out of their arses long enough to realise that putting her up again cost them their seat in the General Election and continuing on the Cadbury, Curran, Harmer et al route may possibly cost them the next local election.

Keith, it was a matter in the public arena when she and her husband were MP's. The property she acquired as an MP is now hers. There is no public payback.It is a fact that both myself and Vanessa have more reasons personally than anyone else who posts on this site to want to see "payback" from Ann Keen. However, she is no longer active on the political scene, is unlikely to be contactable on any of her previous e-mail addresses, and is no political challenge to anyone local who has political ambitions in the present or the future.If resurrecting the past enables you to get your rocks off, then so be it. I pity you if that is the limitation to your thrills in life.

Well we are entitled our money back whether you think it's nasty or not.If she had been a Tory I'm wonder if you would show the same concern.Blue,red ,yellow or green I would take the same position.No one is entitled to  an exclusion zone around them if they have been or are in public life imo.

Well she made many promises that she would do so as soon as the building works were complete and also the simple fact that we as taxpayers paid for her luxury flat as she claimed she would struggle to the House of Commons without itNow she is no longer an MP surely she no longer needs both homes and would keep her promise?
